Heavenly desire

Fling wide the door to my soul
Open up the door to my heart
Have Your way
Take me through the fire
Even through this rain
There is no place I won’t go
There is no thing I won’t do

Here I am
I just want to be with You
Can I live in that place?
Keeper of Heaven
Author of Salvation
The Word, the Way, the Truth
Come, just come

Have all of this heart
Have all of this soul
Have all of this mind
Let freedom ring out now
Let joy supersede now
Let love and peace overwhelm

Can I go to Heaven?
Can I see the Throne Room?
Believing now that my righteousness is in You
Believing that because of the Cross, I am Ok

I said I would never let anyone back in, again
Isolated, building a wall, to protect myself, and I
I’ve been saying I want to
Let love in, but I was afraid to trust again
Broken, misunderstood, overlooked and
Even in the place where hope was deferred
But now…

The Ancient of Days arise
The lover of our souls raises His voice
Proclaiming an invitation to all…

I will take you in to a love more real
I will hold you close
I will never let you go
I won’t cheat on you
I won’t let you go
I never forsake, I never leave
You are my love, you are my favorite one
You are the one I want
Will you learn to trust?
Can you learn to love, again?
Can you learn to let love in, again?

Don’t shut me out
Don’t close the door
Don’t lock me out
I want more
I want the depths of who you are

Just open wide your wounded heart
I want to love you
I want you to learn to love Me
I want you to learn to trust, again
I will lead you, I will guide you
And I will teach you how

Don’t listen to the lies
Don’t listen to this
Don’t believe that your sin is greater than My desire for you
My desire is Greater!

His desire for us is greater than our shame
Yesterday is gone
Yesterday is over
Just let it go
He has already forgotten
Open up your heart
Open up again
Won’t you let Him in?
Can you just trust Him, again?

He is the One who does not disappoint
He is the One who does not leave
Here is the everlasting faithful One
Here is the very beginning and the end of love
Here is the One who will never forsake

Jesus, this heart is open to You
I let You in
I let You go to the deep places in me
Even where there is darkness, even where there is shame
You meet me in even those places
But You don’t leave us there

So I say that I want to, want to love You
And so I let You love me, first

For the fires You’ve pulled me through
My treasure is You
Your banner is love
You are faithful and true
You are the first and the last
I know You are faithful to complete
You will bring us forth in love
Like love refined

Though You test, though You try, You are good
Into Your hands I commit my spirit, all my life
Look at what You’ve done in me
Thank You oh God
You are the potter, I am the clay
You fashioned all of me
I trusted You for salvation
Now I trust You for sanctification

I let go of striving
I let go of trying, trying, trying

Here is faith
Faith to believe You are who You say You are
Faith to believe You will do what You have said
Faith to believe You deal wondrously with us
Faith to believe it is by Your discretion, men are made great

Again I return to that place
For this I was created
To be with You, to love You, to minister before You
Standing, serving, burning
And so I say, thank You
You make all things well
You fashion all according to Your good pleasure
What is man that You think of him?
And what is man that You consider him?
And yet, it was to man You promised eternity

Can I burn brighter?
Can my spirit be more alive?
Can I draw nearer?
Can I stay in this flow unheeded, unhindered, unmoved?

Will You make me like the seraphim?
The holy ones who remain in Your immediate presence
And are undone
Crying out Holy, Holy, Holy

How can You be uncreated?
How can You have always been?
How can You be outside of time?

God, creation, man
Sin, fall, redemption
Salvation, eternity, love
How epic can this story be?

And then You are

Even though you walk through the valley
Even though you walk through the waters

I Am there
I Am the author and the finisher of your faith
I Am the author of your story
Nothing can keep you from Me
I Am fulfilling that which concerns you
I Am able to keep you

Teaching you to lean
I want to hear your voice, see your face

Draw near

Lift up your voice, your supplications, your prayer
Your voice is lovely
Keep running your race
Nothing can keep you from Me

Your whole existence is upheld by My hand
Your breath is a gift from Me
Nothing can keep you from Me

When it seems like there is no way out
Look to Me.
Let Me see your face
I Am the author of your story
I Am doing everything to bring you to Me
I will bring you to Me

Life is just a vapor
I have eternity in mind for you and Me

I do not look away

The Lion is dancing all around me
All within my heart
I delight in the fear of the Lord
Here, living before my Father’s heart and life
Fear has no power

Even in my weakness
You say I’m lovely
You desire me
God reaching towards man
I am overwhelmed again

Ruin me

I can hear the sound of rain
Coming to hearts and lives again
I can see a cloud on the horizon
Moving faster, stronger, overshadowing

There He goes, watch Him ride!
Victorious One with His sword on His thigh
Faithful and true they call Him
Beautifully terrible they say
Magnificent in splendor and able
To break into our lives today

The Spirit of the Lord is searching
Going to and fro throughout the earth
Weighing hearts and lives of men
He’s looking, seeking, and He will find
Hearts aflame that are fully His

He is near today like a jealous flame
He is close now, and brightly shining
All glorious one, and yet humble
The Majestic, approachable being

So let it rain across this land
Let the floodgates of Heaven be opened
Send Lightning from Your Throne
And may Your Word run swift on

How famous is the Almighty One?
How commanding is this Presence?
How prevailing is His will?
Drawing near again and again

And now I run out into the field unhindered
Pellets and sheets of rain falling down
Drenched now, soaked and dripping
Saturated by the charisma of a Holy King

Here is the one who loves to give good gifts
Here is the King who loves to bless
Delighting to give to us everything we need

And so I
Open Your Word
Enter into worship
Lift a heart again in prayer
And let Your goodness overtake
How much more can a man be ruined?

This is my Prayer

So Jesus I sing to You
Rend the Heavens and come down
We long for You… Jesus
For Your ways to be established
In churches, in hearts
In homes, in lives
Rend the Heavens!

Crying out again today, do not delay
Do not keep Your Presence from us
Standing here, still believing
For the outpouring of Your Spirit in the whole earth
Standing here, contending
For an outpouring of Your love, that all may know

So why not today?
And why not now?

Here, standing in faith, only to you, we bow
Rend the Heavens, establish Your Kingdom, establish Your own

Come receive Your inheritance!
Ignite us and consume these hearts
Even the fire and baptism of God
Yes, let Your Kingdom come
Just come, that we might be with You where You are
Consume us with desire for Your Son

Oh God, I feel weak before You
I still believe I will see the goodness of the Lord
I have so little to offer… rags and mud, but You give me silver and gold
What manner of Grace is this?

Will You fully redeem this life?
I still give sway to retrospective perfectionism
Trying to alter an unalterable past… condemning my mistakes
But You, You rise up in righteous indignation
And pour forth light and truth like a tidal wave
I would still believe I, like an entrapped warhorse, or a tethered bull elephant
Though fully capable to break free and run wild across the plains
Yet remain, somehow still held by chains, broken long ago
I would still believe they hold fast, but You!
You have broken in, Oh God!

One thing have I desired, that will I seek after
To gaze on the beauty of the Lord…
I just want to dwell in Your house, Lord
I don’t want to go anywhere else
I want to just stay and gaze on beauty
Just let me gaze
A continual and fixed gaze
Where my feet do not fall
And my eyes do not falter
Where strength does not fail
And hope still abounds
Just let me live… in the Presence of the Lord

I set my face towards the Great King
I believe You reward those who seek You
I believe You are found by those who seek You
I believe You are found by those who seek You
And so I press on, for I, I must have this great and mighty God

Just find a resting place in me
For You my Lord, my King
Where Your Glory can dwell
Son of David, have mercy on me
Do not pass me by!

I find no rest, unless my rest is in You
Only in You is where I find rest for my soul
I find none anywhere else…
I find no relief any other place

Oh God, I just wanna be that place where You dwell
I have to find that, have to make it there
By grace! By faith! I call out for You…
More and more as the day approaches
Where else can I go and what else can I do?
There is nothing else and no other

Will You Grant this to Your servant?
Will You say Yes to this petition?
Will You come and let Your Glory and Presence rest in this temple?
Here it is, kept set apart, swept, cleaned, polished and dusted….
None other has ever taken up residence
No other love has ever claimed this place
Only You

Washed in the Word

Over and over again like waves of mercy
Let Your Word break over me
Let Your living Word purge straight through me
How can I live through this fallen world?
How can Your servant keep his way pure and holy according to Your Word?
Your servant loves Your Word, and I also find myself battling against the flesh
Who will save me from this life of sin?
Where can I go to hide away from this world that entices, seduces, lies, and leads to death?
How can I keep my way pure and true according to the statutes of the King?
I return again to the Word
The living Word that can pierce between soul and spirit, flesh and bone
Jesus, You are the only Faithful Witness

Wash me with the water of Your Word
Save me now, oh God, according to Your Mercy
May the Kindness and the love of God towards me appear
It’s not about my works of righteousness
By faith, I now receive Your seal and brand: “Righteous”
How can this be?
What mystery have I stumbled into, and what grace?
How do You love like this?
How could a perfect and Holy God take the sin of the world on His shoulders?
How could You choose sinful man to be Your own?
What manner of love is this?
Salvation was according to mercy, how much so sanctification as well?
Oh Holy One who pours out grace and mercy abundantly
With penitent heart, and hands washed by the King at the laver…
Because of the Cross, I am Ok with God.
Jesus, Faithful Witness, thank You for the Washing of Your Word

Take me past the outer courts and into the Holy Place
May Grace Abound all the more… Oh God.
Let not the dirge of my soul overtake
I can claim no righteousness of my own
I plead guilty and only claim Jesus as my only righteousness
Not my works, not by strength, through faith I claim right standing with God
Not by works, but by Grace, only the Grace of God

Now grace abounds in my life because my own strength is not holy enough
Here is substitutionary atonement!
Here is the only hope I have!
Here is the greatest example of grace in history!

The Righteous for the unrighteous
The Holy for the sinful
The pure for the spotted

Only Jesus is worthy to take the scroll and open its seals
Only Jesus is the One who redeems
Only before Jesus, will every tribe and nation bow
Only to Jesus have we become a kingdom of priests
Here is the only worthy One

Where I have failed, where I come short
Where my actions have paid only wages unto death
Where I have given in to this world…
Where I have chosen my own way…

Now, by grace, I am in right standing with God
Now, by grace, through faith, I approach the Throne

What faith this takes!
What grace is this?
To approach the Holy One, knowing how sinful I am
I look down at the offering in my hands and I gasp
What are these filthy rags in my hands where my offering should be?
Where is my offering and where is my oil?
Where are the crowns and riches I would offer?
And yet this is what I have

Still I approach
I would wish to hide away because of my own sinfulness and say
“Go away from me, Lord! For I am a sinful man”
But still You call, still You draw, still You say:

“Come back again, you cannot escape My love, and you cannot get away. Come and offer what is in your hands to Me, and do not draw back. For you know I Am a Good Father, and you know I Am forgiving and the Great Redeemer. You must believe you can still approach Me, even when you feel sinful and like you have nothing to bring. You still must come to be with me, where I am. You still must press in. Do not draw back and do not give way. Believe by faith in the Great Grace that I give freely and of which I pour freely and abundantly on My sons and daughters. Let faith arise! Believe you are OK and in right standing with Me, because of repentance, because of forgiveness, because of grace, because this is who I AM – the Great Redeemer. Draw nearer to Me now, and receive the Divine Grace of a Loving God.”

What is my response?
I fall down before the Lamb with the 24 elders and the living creatures
I sing a new song with the very great mighty cloud of witnesses
By faith, by grace, believing the Goodness of God is stronger than my weak witness
I sing now a new song. Oh God, who is this King? What manner of love is this?

I’m so unworthy, but still You love me!
And this is why I will sing forever, how Great You Are
Because You forgive, because You redeem
Because no matter how far we go, You still call back and You still say

“Return and put on this ring of inheritance.”

Because even when we are like the prodigal son and stray so far
Because even when we are like Peter and deny three times
Because even when we are like Elisha and flee across the desert
Because even when we are like David and take Bathsheba from Uriah
Because even when we are like Adam and take the forbidden fruit
Because even when we are like Solomon and give our hearts away
Because even when we are like the Israelites and make a golden calf
Because even when we are like the church at Ephesus and leave our first love

Still You say, “I make all things new, put on this ring and robe.”
Still You say, “It is by Grace, through Faith, feed my sheep.”
Still You say, “I took the sin of the world, and I will not take my Holy Spirit from you.”
Still You say, “This is the Gospel, trading your shame for My glory. Believe, receive, accept justification through faith… and be whole. I will always love you, I will never leave nor forsake you. Even if you take up the wings of the dawn and settle on the far side of the sea, still there My love will follow you. Even there, My right hand will hold you fast.”

Grace and Love will always abound more and more.

Romans 5:17…20-21
For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ….Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

This is what love really looks like

And then I saw Him, the King of Eternity
And then I saw my Maker, lover of humanity
And then I walked onto that mound, how can this be?
I looked up into the sunlight; I thought my eyes were deceiving me

And then I saw Him…
I saw Him hanging there
Bloodied, and beaten
Now beyond all human compare

I saw the King, the Lord of Heaven
The holder of the stars
I saw love embodied
Grace poured forth
I saw blood and water
Scattered splinters and sores

And then I saw Him there.

Then I saw Him there
Hanging on that tree
Looking down at me
It was voluntary
I was staring at Him
He was hanging on a tree
I was looking up at Him
He was looking at me
I’m weeping uncontrollably

And then I saw Him there
Looking down at me
Looking up at Him
He was hanging on a tree
And now I can not control
And now I can not breathe
Looking up at Him
Staring straight through me

How can I go on?
How can I still live?
Life’s trials and troubles
Compared to this Cross
They’re momentary bliss

My jaw drops to the floor
Knees crumple beneath
Muscles twinge with pain
How can this sacrifice be?

His arms were nailed wide open
His very heart was exposed
He’d given up Heaven
Do you call me to this same pose?

He was the darling of Heaven
He was smitten on a tree
And now with open invitation
Calling out to you and me…
Do you wanna know what love really looks like?

If we were made for eternal devotion
If we were given this capacity
If all life comes down to knowing this Maker
And this is the call of eternity
Then nail my arms wide open
Let my heart expose
I’ll answer the invitation
Lay my heart bare on Heaven’s floors
I’ll walk away from all others, and forget all else
To enter into the Throne Room and offer up this hope
It was sacrificial atonement
It was a heart exposed
With arms wide open, it was divine choice

This is what love really looks like

You’re still the One

It has always been You...
Even when competition rises
You’re still the One I run to
Still the only One I turn to
You’re still the One I love

King of Glory
Ancient of Days
Consuming Zeal
Living flame of Love!

You’re the One we come here for
Something happens when we say it
Something moves when we proclaim it
It’s not enough to just think it
So I say, Oh God, You’re still the One I love

Oh God, move with fire
Brood over this heart and purify
I proclaim and announce
I say it with my mouth
Out loud, and in the open air, that all may hear
That they may know You are so good

Here, before the Throne
I love You, Jesus
That’s why I’m here today
That’s why I stand, and pray, and sing

Strike this spirit!
Buffet this heart!
You are why I am here
And You are whom I choose
Above all others
Above all else

I love to love You, Jesus
You’re the One this heart adores
Oh darling of Heaven
Oh bridegroom of eternity
Come break oppression of this heart
Release understanding and divine impartation

That this life would be flooded with grace
That this heart would be drowned with love
That this spirit would be endued with passion from on High

I love You, Lord
I pursue one single and solitary thing
The groan awakens in my spirit…
A deep inner churning from the depths
From the mines of the heart’s chambers
To love You, Lord
The only One on whom I have set my affection
The only One on whom I have placed my hope
You’re the One this heart adores

Would You release Grace to love!
An anointing from Heaven…
And I am lost again
My eyes close and my heart awakens
My thoughts turn to the King
My soul lifts up and searches the skies
With longing gaze for this God
Where is the Spirit of burning?
And where is the Heavenly symphony?

This heart loves You, Lord
This spirit loves You, Lord
This one simply loves You, Lord
Just come and rend the veil
Split the Heavens and return
Pour out the knowledge of who You are
Knowledge of the everlasting One
Eternal, immortal, shepherd of the ages

You’re still the One
So let Your Word burn to the deep places
May worship of You be as a refining
Oh Faithful and Blessed Divinity
How can I make my heart wholly Yours?
Just know, You’re still the One
You’re still the One I love

Hey God

So come and write Your Name on my heart
I hear the dance steps of the Great King
Tenderizing this heart over and again
Speaking love and hope and life

You write Your love upon my heart
How I delight when I am doing Your will
All of my life, all of my time
The world would scoff and say this is not for today
They mock and say, this is not wisdom

But Oh

How they have yet to experience such peace and joy
Grace is poured out on my life like a waterfall
Buffeting, bearing down with the weight of love

Oh the melodies of Heaven capture me again
How can music be this good, this uplifting?
How can life be this full?
Hope rises
Love overtakes
Faith abounds

And so I set my hand to the plow again
In the morning, I arise and keep my pace
I plod, I keep going, I work, and there is grace for each day
His mercies are new every morning
Oh He loves us to the end

The earlier we give ourselves to this
Oh how much better it is
To give this God everything
Just to be found faithful
And so, in this way, I will live my love for this King
In the large and in the small
In the flashy and in the mundane
Whether before the crowd, or in the secret place
Just loving and being loved by this One
Hey God

The Great Exchange

You are the everlasting One
The One who lifts me up on wings
Eagles cannot catch me
The wind cannot overtake me
Strength rises now
Resolved to love the Heavenly One

Waiting now
Even on the One who reigns forever
Here is my hope
Here is my deliverer
Here is my God who fights for me
Death, where is your sting?
Grave, where is your victory?
My God is for me
I am not afraid

Hallelujah, again and again
Our God reigns
Let fierce devotion come forth
To take up the charge
No longer with trepidation
Thrusting forward, always forward
In power and might
With firm resolve, strong conviction
And a jaw set like flint
This mission of heart has a sole purpose
Charging upwards, taking ground
Always further in

Wonderful One
You are at the center of my heart
You have taken up Your rightful place
The center of my heart was made for You
And now You have it all
Oh plumb line of eternity
And anchor of time

Call out now
Oh ends of the earth
Oh depths of the sea
Oh heights of Heaven
Throughout all ages
Let your voice ring
For Grace and glory is here

Determined allegiance
Focused gaze
Concerted effort
Steady progress

For You look on the inside
Keeping us in perfect time
You will perfect that which concerns Your sons and daughters
For by Your discretion, men are made great
And now…
Heaven is watching us today
We have their full attention
The mighty host cheers us on

Even when it’s You and me alone
God this is what I want
You hedge me in behind and before
You set me in the secret place
You reserve me for Yourself
This heart wanting nothing else
Save the Holy One

You are all around me
I am like an enclosed and secret garden
Hidden away, kept away, quiet
For I still know that
Apart from You I can do nothing
And apart from the Most High, I am lost
I would be a wanderer on the earth
I would be utterly visionless
But You

Today I am no longer my own
In the morning and in the evening
I recite my composition to the King
I am not my own
I have been commissioned to another
With a band around my arm
And a name written on my forehead
Saying simply, the Lords
Belonging to the Most High

Here is the place I go to
In this place I never want to leave
Here is how I spend hours
And the time has no end

So now Oh god
Let the light of Your Face shine down on me
I want to feel it; I want to know Your Presence
Would You take this heart?
Will you please refine it to make it Yours?
I just want You
I want a holy heart
I want whatever it takes to be with You

And so today is the day
Today is the great exchange
My life for Yours
My heart for Yours
My desire for Yours
All I am… Yours

Come and take Your Place

I choose to believe You are faithful and true
Your love endures today
Oh soul, praise the Lord
In You I take rest
All I need is You

So won’t You come and take Your place
At the center of my heart?
Won’t You bring me in?
All I need is found in You Presence

Oh my soul, oh my heart
Oh words and outstretched hands
Sing now, cry out, and prophesy
In a dry place?
In a weary land?
This soul longing now for
The author of salvation
The writer of redemption
The One who did not consider equality with God something to be grasped
The One who came, who died, who rose again
For the One who is faithful
The only true sovereign
Come and take Your place
Here, at the center of this heart!

Oh heart, oh flesh, cry out!
Your Spirit is water to my soul
Come again to me
Constantly drawing near
Always closer
Like the ever arising dawn
Like the relentless waves
Like love more jealous than the grave
Like the pouring of oil and wine

What goes up must come down
So I lift these prayers to Heaven
Expectantly looking for them to return
Your Word does not return void
So I claim Your Word again and again
Come and do exceedingly and abundantly
Come and do more than enough
I lift my eyes to Heaven

Asking for great and mighty things
The dreams, purpose, and desire from Your Throne
Let Your Word run swiftly upon the earth
Let Salvation spring up from the ground
Come, Heavenly Father and rend hearts
Even for the apple of Your eye
Even for Your covenant people
Even now, and even today

So lead me to Your Heart
If all I need is only found there
I can only find it in You
There is all I need
There is all I ever wanted
Just come
Come and take up Your place
Chief at the center of my heart!

I still want You
Ever have I loved You
You are the only One I can’t get away from
You are the only One from whom I can’t stray
My heart has been given completely over
I have been ruined to this world
It cannot entice
It cannot seduce
My eyes have seen beauty
My heart has been enthralled
Fascination
More than affection
More than desire
Divine Love

And this soul has found satisfaction
Not needing to try to earn
The closer we go, the better You are
There is always something even more glorious
Even more wonderful
Even higher exhilaration
In the King of Kings
In the Lord of Lords

So won’t You come?
Won’t You move?
Taking up Your place in this one
This one who was made for You

You are not far away
You are near, You are near
Let Your Word go forth like a hammer
Running swiftly throughout the earth
Prevailing over the plans of men

The Lord is my Shepherd
And that’s all I need to know
The King is my protector
And my hope is not disappointed
I hear Him speaking
Saying, to walk in the way
The Lord’s hand is upon me
I will never live in darkness
So come and take Your place
Here at the center of my heart

Oh Divine Dance

Eternal glory
Eternal love
No rust can steal
No army destroy
I am looking to another land
I am waiting for another kingdom
I have set my eyes on things above
No longer bound to the fleeting glitter of this rock

Excitement overtakes me
Anticipation overwhelms
I am passing through this life
These 100 years are but a vapor
Eternity is my home
Heaven is where I will finally rest

And so I take up strength for the work today
For one day there will no longer be separation
One day, we will see the King face to face
It is to that day I look
It is for that hour I live
It is for that moment I breathe

These troubles of today, they are light, momentary
When compared with eternal fascination of the One
Then we will know love
Then we will know peace
Then we will exult with a very mighty throng

And so today, I lift up my standard
In the morning, I put on my armor in preparation
I live on offense, happening to life
Not going through motions, not just “making it through”
I take my mantle to more than conquer
I rise to my place, and walk in authority
Unashamed as it comes from the Lamb
Here is my exceeding great reward

I can hear the paw prints of the Lion
Dancing, padding, all around His beloved in joy
A dance of jealousy
A dance of love
Ancient steps and yet new
How He dances and sings over us
The light stuns me, music takes me
My heart leaps
The pace quickens and I am caught
The rhythm catches and I
I give in to this Divine dance
Solemn, merry, light and deep

Here then is the culmination
The apex from antiquity to eternity
To be with the King, near Him, where He is

In this place, I sing!

Standing here, in Your Presence
Praying here, not into the air
Waiting here, for the One my soul loves
Watching here, waiting for Divine Love

Like arrows from Heaven
Like waters break on the rock
Like shooting comets
Like the knowledge of Your will

Oh Lord You are One
Your Name, You are One
You take away sin
You wash clean again
You make me who I am
You are the Lamb of God

Bowing down before You Lord
Hailing You as King of my soul
I claim allegiance now
The One to behold

Fixed gaze on Your Throne
Trusting You alone
I let go of life now
I grab hold of You now
Your promises for my shame
Your Name for my pain
I claim You as Lord

Here in the Presence of the Lord!
Here in the courts of the King!
Here in the chambers of my God!
In this place, I sing!

Lifting battered arms in praise
Muscles flexing for Your Name
Let Passion arise
Let Glory abide
Full belief like dancing rain
Devoted hope rises again
You’re always enough
Love never runs dry
Divine Holy King!

Send Renewal!

Today, I set my heart on a pilgrimage
A journey to the Most High
Finding my strength in God alone
Rejecting passivity
Again I rise

I press on
Turning away from glitter
Letting go of anxiety
Looking to Jesus
He is my author, He, the finisher of my faith
Strength to strength again
My goal, the magnificent Prize of Christ

I will see my God in Zion
There He will satisfy my soul
There Oh God, is where I want to reap

You are the light at the end of my tunnel

Now I, on the offensive
Flinging my hope and trust Heavenward

You pour out grace and glory on Your ones
How blessed is the man who trusts in You
Surely goodness and mercy always comfort
Everyday of his life
Covering, surrounding, emboldening
Ready for devotion or war
Hands prepared for praise, or equipped for battle
Waiting for the command

Gathered with the throng
Because we love You
Longing just to be with You
Having no greater joy
Fascinated in delight in Your Presence

Help us, Oh Father
To know how to rend these hearts
Fully Yours
You are the potter, here is the clay
Burn, mold, shape, and renew
All to You

I arise and seek the One I love
I must find this One
Can not live without
Can not do without
I lift the latch and peer through the lattice
I call out, I run out, I search for this great Love!

My passion in life, to know
All these other goals must bow
On this journey of love to be with You
Returning again to Divine primacy

You are more worthy than I know

Believing in the coming King
Jesus, who will return to Mt. Zion
Splitting the sky and mountain
Even hearts and souls
Release Revelation

Making a solemn vow
A covenantal stand
Placing my heart, soul, and mind
That this life would be lived as worship
That this heart will be given over in love
That this allegiance will be sworn
That I will cling to You alone

For You are jealous

For You are Love
You are God

This heart, forever
Just wanting to be with You
Not afar off or after busyness
Now, a stilled heart
Now, a steadfast mind
Now, an ardent resolve

Come and take Your place!

Today my soul is lost in longing
Propelled out of the dry land
Flourishing in this richest of fare
Springs exploding up
Waters and a lavish oasis of soul

My soul longs for You
Rising up on strength that is not my own
I draw near, You draw closer
Is this supernatural grace?

By the Spirit, putting to death the flesh
Being led by the Spirit now
As an heir, as a son, as one who belongs
Let the light of Your countenance shine

Break in with the Spirit of wisdom and revelation
Reveal the knowledge of God to Your own
Give the wisdom of the Holy One

Heaven, Today

Oh Lord, You have searched me and You know me
Where can I run from Your Spirit?
Where can I flea from Your Presence?
You are all around me – surrounding
You know all my ways
I can go nowhere

Eyes oh Eyes of the Lord
Running swiftly to and fro throughout the earth
Looking for a heart that is fully Yours
Pour grace upon this one
To walk with You in truth

The task at hand is more than I can bear
I look to You
The past tries to weigh down like a millstone
I look to You
The present has only light for the next step
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet
Here is a light for my path

Great and marvelous
Wonderful and fabulous
Spectacular and splendid
Breathtaking and brilliant
Magnificent and incredible
Grand and superb

You who hold the universe, even all of man
Everything upheld by the power of Your Word
How am I not more enthralled by You?
Why am I not thrust to the ground by the sheer weight of You?
Release revelation!

How do You hold seven stars in Your hand?
How do You walk among the seven lamp stands?
How do You live in me?
I want to be a man obsessed by the knowledge of You

Thank You for Your Spirit
Asking today for a greater measure
A baptism in the knowledge of You

Afresh and anew, today and tomorrow
This morning and in the middle of the night

Baptized in who You are
Immersed, deeper, into another measure

Release Your Glory
Standing before Holiness

Stir up hunger for Your Name today
Standing, Believing, Crying out
Even for reverence for who You are
Break into hearts, into lives
Break in with life and hope
Will You display Your Power in our midst?

Ready, hungry, earnestly desiring more
Stretch forth Your hand
Release healing

It keeps coming back to Your Glory
How do I miss it so quickly?
How do I keep making other things primary?
It is so much less complicated
It is so much easier than I have made it

Life, hours, days, it really is just about
Knowing You, looking to You, loving You
Then all else falls into place…
So many other things simply fall away

Being caught up
Enthralled, enraptured, even on earth
Even today, even at this very moment
Looking to the Lord, the Most High

Here is love, here is life
Here is direction, here is hope
In this One’s Presence
There is found the fullness of joy
Heaven is only Heaven because God is there
He is what makes Heaven so

Why then, could we not have Heaven here?
If it is about being in His Presence
If it is about turning to Your Word
If it is about letting our hearts be loved by God
Immortal, Divine, Omni, Merciful, Just, True!

The longing of my heart

Wanting to be with You
Wanting to gaze on this beauty

Fully awesome
Men fall in Your Presence
Center of it all
Worthy lamb who sits upon the throne

And that has made all the difference

Faithful glance

I want to be found faithful
I want to be found steady
In the end of days, on the last march, at the hour of reckoning
Where can I give my life towards to this end?

Can I just sit and gaze?
Can I be faithful as You are faithful?
Will You just look at me that I might be changed in that gaze?

Eternity drives me
What prize do I wish to attain?
Where to give my time and affection?
How can I be found faithful?

The answer is in the cry
The answer on my lips already
Before I ask it, I know
How can I simply live in the place of prayer?
Will You orient my life that I might give myself to this life?

I don’t want to leave the Secret Place
I don’t want to lose the gaze
I don’t want to do “good things”

I want to live my hours, my days, my life before Your Eyes
Flaming eyes of fire – search and know this one
Passion arises. Strength and Resolve break forth.
Wash me with the water of Your Word
Again and again, like the sea breakers that cannot be stopped
There is no taming them

Like a hidden treasure, like buried gold and silver
Where You are, that’s where I want to be
Have You not placed me in this school of love?

Just let me pray
Just let me contend
Just set me on the wall
Just give me the charge
My ears strain for the call

Let faith and wonder arise
Here is the safe place, even when life collapses, here is where I go
The alter of the Most High

How is it there is always more?
How is it You are always more?
Would You grant such grace to Your servant to go to the deep places?

Jesus, living flame of Love!

It is still in the first glance
It is still in the gaze, a shared memory
It is still in the Word, enrapturing
How can this soul not return equal obsession?

I remember the dance
I remember the passion
I remember being utterly lost – caught in the throes
How is Your love towards us this way?
How is it we read Your Word and are reduced to mush?

I’ve never known a love like this
I’ve never been so lost in it all
Again and again, batter this heart
Posses, breathe, shine, and seek to mend
Your force to break, blow, burn, and make new

Grant what You desire for Your own
If life, if death, if much, if little, if many, if none
Do what You want to do, do whatever it takes
Just come

I waited patiently for the Lord...

Oh God, through me, Your hands have the power to heal every disease.
Your Power can heal, deliver, and set your people free
Now is the time for faith upon the earth
Now is the season of signs in the Heavens and wonders on the earth
My preaching is not with wise or persuasive words
But by a demonstration of the power of God

Here I am asking!
Here I stand, believing!
Your Glory oh Lord is my reward
Will You usher me into this place?
Worthy is the Lamb

Supernatural power working through Your servants
Through Your ones, to bring more to Yourself
Declaring that You are worth it
Now, let the prophetic break forth
Now, let faith arise

And with it, power to heal, power to deliver, power to set people free
Bind up the brokenhearted and bandage these wounds.

Oh God, now is the time, it was always available, it was always there…
Awaken us to who You are, Jesus, and what You are doing
That we may live in the reality of who You are on this earth
That we may live in the power of the Holy Spirit
Pour Your love on us

Bring us to the revelation of You, the faithful One

Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God
The faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations
With those who love Him and keep His commandments

Teach us, lead us, show us Your ways upon the earth
Grant the desires of hearts now God
Fulfill petitions and grant purposes
Set Your Seal upon our hearts
That we might know the width and depths
Of the divine love of God

The melody, the song, the call of my heart:

Coming before the Throne of Grace
Oh God, release the seal of Your fiery love
Set Your Seal upon my heart. All consuming One.
You who are fire, and You who are an all consuming flame.
Would You come now and burn in me?
Would You burn all away that is not of You.

All consuming fire – come and burn in the deep places of my heart
Where else can I go, and what else could I do?

Could I please just stay in this place?

I want to stand, serve, minister, and burn before You

I just want to be filled up in love with who You are

I want to know who You say we are

Setting my heart in Your Presence again
Would You strengthen my heart in the Grace of God?
Abba, I come before You
That the love with which You love Your Son, would be put in my heart
I now ask for that love

The love with which You love, Jesus

You said, You would pour this love upon our hearts
So now, I ask to be filled with this Heavenly love
Supernatural love

Pour it on my heart
I want this love – that You have for Your Son, that You have for people
I am asking for this love
I want to be consumed
I want to be lost in love for You, Jesus

Fill us once again

Sail oh heart

Could a heart sail?
Could the dreams of even one so small come to pass?
Out of the billions of voices on the earth
Could this one’s be heard?

What do You ask of Your servant?
Will You help me come to that place?
Will You bring me to where You want me to be?
Will You make the way shine like the morning star?

Could the human heart yearn more?
Could desire be awakened on a grander scale?
Knowing I’m not alone
Trusting that You are good and faithful
Believing that You are who You say You are
Believing I am who You say I am

I know You have never left me
I know You have never forsaken me
Knowing that Your love carries Your own through
Like the wings of the wind, always there, impossible to pin down

More than the watchman waits for the morning
I wait for You
Over and over and over
Will You come?

The world offers me all it has again
Continually trying to wear me down
I know there is nothing lasting there
That is the key – lasting…

I have found the place of prayer to be the only place that brings life
Life breaks forth because we meet the author of life in that place
Why would I not want to know the author?
The very One who brought it all to pass?

I’m not trying so hard anymore
I don’t white knuckle life anymore
Father of Glory, You are the One who can bring Your plans about
I look to You again
